While tar bonded surfacing comes under many guises and is also referred to as tar and stone, tar and chippings, tar and granite; we simply call it tar and chip. We’ve applied tar and chip to all types of surface, including at smallholdings, farm roads, commercial driveways, car parks and large areas. Wherever you are in Great Yarmouth, and whatever size job you have in mind, our tar and chip finish can be applied to any type of existing surface.
For the installation, we firstly ensure that there aren’t any potholes or loose stones, particularly focusing on areas where the existing surface has deteriorated over time. Then follows an application of hot bitumen liquid tar, with either the gold pea shingle or grey granite aggregate going immediately on top of the tar. Perhaps the best part is that, once installed, the maintenance is so low that you won’t need to do a thing yourself.
Having years of experience in the field, we know how important it is to get the materials and timings exactly right. We worry about these details so that you don’t have to. We also like to use our own plant and machinery, as we believe that working with our own tools means that there is no compromise on quality. Tar and chip is a specialism that not every contractor offers, but we keep our prices competitive and offer free site surveys and free no obligation quotes. We also tender and would be happy to take your enquiry.
